		<description>Hi,

I have had some antique meat fork, shelled spoon, and another piece I am not sure but they seem to go together. The unique thing about them is they have 6 balls engraved and a crown, as well as flowers and such. Also, there seems to be some sort of dragon or eagle engraved by the oval shape that has the 6 balls on it. The handles and bottoms are all designed in a very distinct way. One piece has a baby engraved and on the back it has wings. It seems to date back a very long time from italy, but I am not sure. They are heavy and bigger than typical flatware. The fork is very unique with three big prongs. Can you help me figure out if these antiques that pass down to me from Europe are an important piece of history? Thank you!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Godwin</description>

		<description>Hell Rhonda,

Elkington normally dated their pieces but there have been many exceptions. I have seen Monachy Plate but suspect if it is not stamped with date letters it is of newer production. There is some useful history on Elkington here http://www.silvercollection.it/Elkington.html but it still does not answer your question. You could try posting a question on http://www.silver-collector.com/ and someone much more knowledgeable than I on Silver Plate may be able to help you. Sorry I cannot help you more.

Regards
